Challenge Britain

The trip of a lifetime…

In September 2007, a fleeting comment in a monthly work face-to-face led to a decision being made that we were signing up for Lands End to John o Groats. A few conversations later and within a week we knew what we were doing, who was doing it and when we were doing it – things seem to have happened that fast that we are riding the length of the country without really thinking about it!

For the cycle event, Matthew, Jonathon and Cleveland are travelling from Lands End to John O'Groats. The team of 3 have signed up to ride the length of the country covering a distance of around 900 miles with the period of 8 days being taken to complete. A support vehicle will also be on board to aid the riders and thanks must be given to Howard Norton for agreeing to do this.

The journey will take in distances between 70 and 135 miles per day calling in at Truro, Taunton, Worcestor, Warrington, Kendal, Biggar, Pitlochry and Dornoch. The challenge is certainly there for 3 currently unfit people (1 of whom who had knee surgery in November). 9 months to go and the event will be well and truly on!
