Land's End to John o'Groats

Cycle for Africa (CFA) was established in 2007 by Jonathon, Matthew and Howard Norton and Cleveland Henry. CFA was started as a means of raising funds for the Maasai Heritage Preservation Foundation in support of their work for education in Africa.

September 2008 saw the team face the challenge of cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats. The ride was completed in 8 days and raised in excess of £10,000 for the Foundation.

Land's End to John O'Groats is the ultimate journey through the UK mainland - the traversal of the whole of the Island of Great Britain. Land's End is the extreme southwestern point of the country and situated in Cornwall at the end of the Penrith Peninsula. John O'Groats is traditionally acknowledged as the extreme northern point of Scotland, in northeastern Caithness. The ride itself is renowned as being one of the toughest cycling challenges in the world.

2 Million Revolutions From Home

Holmfirth to Africa

"2 million revolutions from home" was established in October 2008 by Jonathon, Matthew and Howard Norton and Barry Morton.

The foursome will leave West Yorkshire in the Spring of 2010 and travel through England, across to France, through central Spain and to the final destination of Tangiers, Morocco. It is anticipated that the trip will take around 18 days and will cover a distance of approximately 1700 miles.

This challenge is not as immediately recognisable as Lands End to John O'Groats and very few people have actually attempted the journey by bike. The last person to complete it successfully was the athlete, James Cracknell.
