The Challenge

 

 

The team behind the Cycle for Africa challenges are hosting several new challenges in 2010 and bringing along friends to help raise awareness and funds for MHPF. As well as two big events in the UK, there is an event running alongside in Kenya. Details of all events are shown below.

 

Yorkshire 3 Peaks

 

The first of these challenges is to hike the 3 Peaks in Yorkshire. This is a 25 mile challenge and is something that will certainly require a lot of effort and physical and mental determination. Exercise in advance and definite walking practice will obviously be required! Although a wonderful walk that covers Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, this is a walk that will certainly push everyone that is taking part.

 

Jon, Barry and Matthew from 'Cycle for Africa' are arranging and planning the event, and they have a great number of colleagues and friends along to support MHPF. The challenge will take place on the 31st July 2010.

 

Challenge Africa

 

Partners, Parents, Family and Friends of Memusi School, Kenya are showing a global partnership in driving forward their school. In correlation with the 'Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge', a team hosted by Simantoi Mbarye will be hosting a Challenge in Kenya.

 

Hadrians Wall 

 

The second challenge that the team is hosting is to walk a stage of world famous Hadrians Wall. Hadrians Wall is a route that covers 84 miles in total - the stage that the team are participating in will cover a 25 mile stretch in the North of England. Jon, Barry, Howard and Matthew are again taking a team of friends and colleagues along to support MHPF. The challenge will take place on the 11th September 2010.
