Challenge Britain - The Route

Hour after hour would be spent looking through maps to try and find the perfect route, but guess work would have to play a huge part as none of the team were overly familiar with the B roads around Britain.

Eventually the route would be a combination of others seen and selected from the internet and books. These needed to be tweaked slightly to accommodate additional riders joining the team for one of the stages.

The longest stage would be on the first full day of riding where the team would undertake the 135 mile haul from Truro to Taunton. The distances on the other days would range from 70 to 125 miles. They had opted to take advantage of a head start by covering the Lands End to Truro distance on Day 0 (the day that they would travel to the start). This would give them the opportunity to get at least 40 miles into the route before our official first day of riding.

Main towns along the route

Lands End -> Truro -> Taunton -> Worcester -> Warrington -> Kendal -> Biggar -> Pitlochry -> Dornoch -> John O'Groats
