MHPF offer a number of gift ideas for Christmas, Birthdays and other celebrations. When you buy a gift from MHPF, you are making a difference to peoples lives in the areas that we support. In buying a gift for the children and communities that we support, 100% of that money will be used to buy the item that you requested. In return, you will receive a gift card with detail of the gift that you have purchased as well as the people that you support. There are a number of options available, and the current gift catalogue is:
Goats
Cost: £15
In rural Africa, goats provide a number of benefits. The goats are often the most critical part of survival for a number of families as they provide milk on a daily basis, which is part of the staple diet of many of the rural families.
For all of the MHPF schools, goats are critical. MHPF are working with each of the schools to build sustainable resources to help the school to continue to survive and develop. As part of this, MHPF are hoping to develop farms at each of the schools, with which the goats will become vital in providing the staple on a daily basis for feeding the children.
£15 will buy a young goat that will provide quality milk for several years.
Toys
Cost: £5
Many children in rural communities of Africa never receive toys. As a key part of the education process, toys help to stimulate thinking and creativity abilities at an early age. Toys create thinking and generate skills such as the ability to observe. What many take for granted are vital in the development of the human mind from a very early age.
For just £5, a toy or several toys can be purchased for a child.
Books
Cost: £10
A key part of achieving quality education is enabling each child to have a book. For many schools in rural communities, children have to share books and this slows the learning and development process.
Reading stimulates the imagination and the mind, and books are a critical tool in the classroom. Without books, the schools will struggle to achieve quality levels.
A gift of just £10 can buy a child 10 books. This will enable that child to have the required reading material for the academic year.
