The Route

A lot of research has been put into finding the best route for the journey. Unfortunately a great deal is guess work due to the fact of not knowing each specific road that will be travelled. The route has been pulled together through research of other LEJOG routes with slight expanses. To give us the opportunity of meeting family and friends in Kendal and to ensure that we can accommodate the stops at those places kind enough to provide support en-route the route has been formed.

Distances of between 70 miles and 135 miles will form the route, with the longest on the first full day of Truro to Taunton. We have opted to take advantage of a head start on the route by covering the Lands End to Truro distance on Day 0 (the day that we travel to the start). This will give us the opportunity to get at least 40 miles into the route on our official first day of riding.

Main towns along our route

Lands End -> Truro -> Taunton -> Worcester -> Warrington -> Kendal -> Biggar -> Pitlochry -> Alness -> John O'Groats
